Refund & Cancellation Policy

Read the arrangements for your desert experience. Ask our team to confirm the terms applicable to your selected tour.

1. Standard Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our standard cancellation terms are as follows:

  • More than 24 hours before the tour: Free cancellation — full refund or free rescheduling
  • 12–24 hours before the tour: 50% cancellation fee applies
  • Less than 12 hours before the tour: No refund — full charge applies
  • No-show: No refund — full charge applies

All cancellations must be communicated via WhatsApp or email to be valid. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.

2. How to Cancel

To cancel your booking, please contact us via:

Your cancellation request will be acknowledged in writing. The time of acknowledgement is used to determine which cancellation tier applies.

3. Rescheduling

You may reschedule your booking free of charge if done more than 24 hours before your tour, subject to availability. Rescheduling is permitted once per booking. A second change of date will be treated as a cancellation and re-booking.

4. Cancellation by Maliha Desert Safari

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel or modify your tour due to:

  • Extreme weather conditions (sandstorms, heavy rain)
  • UAE public safety advisories
  • Mechanical failure or operational emergencies
  • Insufficient minimum guest numbers (advance tours only)

If we cancel your tour, you will receive a full refund of any amounts paid, or the option to reschedule at no additional cost. We will notify you as early as possible, typically at least 2 hours before pickup time.

5. Luxury & Private Tour Cancellations

Private vehicle bookings, luxury safari packages, and customised experiences are subject to the following stricter terms:

  • More than 48 hours before: Full refund minus any bank transfer fees
  • 24–48 hours before: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours before: No refund

6. Group & Corporate Cancellations

Group bookings of 10 or more guests are subject to individually agreed cancellation terms, communicated at the time of booking. In general:

  • More than 72 hours before: Deposit refunded minus admin fee (AED 100)
  • 48–72 hours before: Deposit forfeited, remaining balance waived
  • Less than 48 hours before: Full quoted amount is payable

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. Refunds are returned via the original payment method:

  • Cash payments: Refunded in cash or via bank transfer
  • Card payments: Refunded to the original card (processing time depends on your bank)
  • Bank transfers: Refunded to the source account within 5 business days

Maliha Desert Safari Dubai is not responsible for delays caused by third-party banks or payment processors.

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Booking fees or deposit amounts where a cancellation fee applies
  • Any services partially consumed (e.g., pickup completed but guest refused to board)
  • Optional add-ons purchased and delivered (e.g., photography package)

9. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal liability. Maliha Desert Safari Dubai is not responsible for losses that could have been covered by travel insurance.
